WINGNUT is a trio that performs original instrumental music, led by keyboardist and principal composer Michael Stark, who uses a combination of acoustic piano, vintage electric keyboards and modern synths. Completing the sound are Zaun Marshburn on drums and Walt Lorenzut on bass guitar. Originally formed in 1997 in Ithaca, NY, the group has developed a large repertoire of compositions over the years, as well as a unique musical communication between the players that allows for deep improvisations and unexpected surprises.
